Sweeping vistas of the Olympics and subalpine terrain

Overview

Hurricane Hill is a 1.6 mile one-way hiking trail with a nearby trailhead just one-mile (or snowshoe) from the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center (5,242 feet). It is popular day-hiking trail to experience sweeping views of the interior Olympic Mountains and Strait of Juan De Fuca in stunning subalpine terrain. During the summer, Hurricane Hill is a great hike for a summer sunset and features beautiful wildflowers during July. In the winter, it is one of the most popular trails for snowshoeing with low avalanche danger and of course the 5,000 foot head start.
