2025 Schedule
March 28 - September 28, 2025
What is a Trailhead Shuttle?
Our Trailhead Shuttles are essentially the “ski-lift on wheels” for backpackers completing multi-day through hikes in Olympic National Park, beginning and ending at different trailheads. Ideally, our backpacking clients coordinate a shuttle at the beginning of their trip. In this scenario, hikers park at their ending trailhead and then we shuttle them to their starting trailhead. This allows our clients to hike back to their vehicle at their own pace, without the worry of a fixed shuttle time required to complete their hike. We always say it’s easier to drive to a meet-up location than it is hiking to one on time.
Our Shuttle Service
Olympic Hiking Co. is commercially authorized to provide guided hiking tours and trailhead shuttles throughout Olympic National Park. Each year, our trailhead shuttle service typically serves over 1,500 backpackers throughout the Olympic Peninsula. Our team takes pride in providing a timely, reliable, and friendly service to help make travel logistics easier for through-hikes throughout Olympic National Park.
Advanced Reservations Required
Our shuttle schedule and availability may vary due to longer routes, large group bookings, changing tide schedules, and the number of vans we have available. Unless we have an advanced booking with more than 24-hours’ notice, we will not operate the shuttle route. To guarantee a shuttle service for your desired route, please book online. We highly recommend booking one month in advance to ensure smooth shuttle logistics, especially ahead the peak season of July and August.

Additional Information
Important Notes
Advanced online reservations required, which close 24 hours prior to departure time. No walk-up reservations.
The scheduled time slots may vary based on existing bookings each day.
We highly recommend passengers to book the trailhead shuttle at the beginning of the trip, as it is much easier to coordinate versus managing an exit date and time.
Solo passenger? To cover costs of labor, fuel, and insurance, we require a $150 minimum booking to open a new shuttle reservation. Accordingly, for the first booking for a particular shuttle route, a solo hiker will need to book 2 tickets to start a new reservation. If other passengers join your shuttle, you can email us after the trip and we will refund you the individual ticket. When you finish the online booking, please type in “solo hiker” in the reservation comments, as this is helpful for us in managing headcounts.
