Guided Foraging Tour
Saturday, October 19: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Looking for an immersive outdoor experience during the Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival? We are excited to offer a special guided foraging tour on Saturday, October 19th. Departing from our tour office at 9:00am, enjoy a day of foraging within dense, forested river valleys in the Olympic Mountains. Our focus will be for mushrooms, however, we will be on the hunt for other special foraging finds and edible plants. Guests can expect to hike about 3-6 miles depending on group’s pace, weather conditions, and the locations of our best foraging spots.
The tour will be led by a lifelong Olympic Peninsula resident and our brilliant local naturalist guide, Oscar Hammer. Besides leading guided hiking tours throughout Olympic National Park, Oscar’s background in botany and long wilderness trips dependent on foraging will make this guided adventure quite memorable and educational!
Looking to make it a weekend adventure? Consider booking the Mushroom Lovers Weekend Package at the Maitland Manor in Port Angeles. We will be offering a complimentary shuttle from the B&B.
